Child Care Center of FPC Asheville

Offering Care for Children from 6 weeks to age 5

Child Care Center

Welcome to First Presbyterian Church of Asheville Child Care Center!  We are a non-profit full-time child care center serving children age six weeks to age five.   We are licensed for a maximum enrollment of 98 children.  Our center has a 5-star child care license – the highest rating for child care centers in North Carolina.  This rating shows that we are committed to excellence in staff education/experience and high program standards.

We are open to all children and families – regardless of race, color, religion, nationality, age, disability, or creed – who may benefit from our programs.

It is our goal to provide a safe and fun educational environment for your child.  Our teachers are dedicated to providing developmentally appropriate learning activities and lessons through creative, hands-on experiences.  We want to help each child develop the skills essential for success in school and in life.

We are here to provide a warm and secure environment for children while their parents are working.

Mission Statement

The Child Care Center of First Presbyterian Church of Asheville provides children with the highest quality of early childhood education and guidance in a loving, nurturing environment with committed, educated, and experienced staff.

 Program History

The Child Care Center of the First Presbyterian Church of Asheville (hereafter, the CCC) was established as a mission of the church in 1968 to serve the needs of parents in the community during working hours.  We are now a separate non-profit center with a Board of Directors made up of parents, church members, and other community members.

 Program Philosophy

Our purpose at the CCC is to serve others, namely: children attending our child care center, their parents, and our co-workers.  We also propose to promote the intellectual, physical, mental, social and emotional development of each child in our care.  We consider ourselves partners with parents and families in the rearing of children and we believe that this partnership encourages the highest level of growth and development for children.
